You are part of a much bigger picture...

The fact that English is the world’s most widely spoken first language is due to the large number of people who speak it as a second language.

Modern communications, globalized trade and easy international travel, English is the nearest thing there has ever been to a single global language.

Global English, also known as World English’s or International English is influenced by all of the characteristics English as Second Language (ESL) speakers bring from their Native language and all of the language influences picked up in this very connected world.

Mastery of English is a priority in a globalized society.  Mastery of a native English accent is a personal choice.

Clear communication is the most important thing.

Students worry what kind of English they should be learning.  Should it be English spoken like the Brits or Australians or Americans?

What will take you farther in your work and everyday life?

Think about a business person from Germany selling medical equipment to a doctor in the United States who is treating a Mexican patient.

When you learn Global English, you will be able to understand English as it is actually being used in the world not just by native speakers, but all who come to use it.

Alex Rawlings is a Polygot who speaks an impressive 15 different languages! Alex’s tip on making a vocabulary mind-map:

“I take a topic like going to the shop, and on a piece of paper I write out every single phrase I could ever imagine needing at the shop, then try to find those phrases on the Internet, or translate them, and memorize them.”
